Lake Šmartinsko
Lake Šmartinsko is a popular fishing destination in the broad area of the region. The creation of an approx. 113 ha large enclosed water system has significantly changed the structure of fish in the stagnant water, since the original fish lived in a running water ecosystem. The man-made settlement of fish enabled them to grow in numbers, so nowadays the lake is home predominantly to fish from the families of pike, carp, weather loach, sheatfish, bass and cherax as well as frogs and thick shelled river mussel.
Fishing permits can be bought at the Lake.
